INFO

Work with casting director Sarah Clark and the Compass Casting team to understand the casting process, learn a lot, and have a good time doing it.

We only accept four new interns a season, so please make sure to follow the application process instructions. Following instructions and paying attention to detail is important. Hint hint.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We love working with curious self starters who have a warm presence and are here to keep the office running smoothly. You're not expected to have all the answers, just a great attitude at all the requests that come across our desk. Actors are preferred so that you gain as much insight into your industry as possible, but we're happy to consider non-actors as well.

EXPECTATIONS

We ask our interns be available only one day a week for four or eight hour shifts. If you'd like to work more days than that we would love to have you! You'll be assisting us with the whole casting process. Sometimes that's prep and bookings, other days it's in the room with casting sessions. We never know what we'll be doing, but we know we'll tackle all our projects with the utmost professionalism and kindness.

PLEASE NOTE

We only have one intern in the office per day to minimize exposure due to COVID-19. We have plenty to do, so working from home is always an option!

All incoming interns are required to attend intern orientation. This will cover our policies and practices as well as participating with our Gender Bias and Racial Bias training partners. We see amazing talents from all walks of life and we want to make sure that all our staff is equipped and trained to our standards. If that's not something you're interested in participating in, that's okay! We probably aren't the office for you and we hope you find what you're looking for.

FAQ

What is the time commitment?

Internships are three months long and we ask that you're available one day a week at minimum in four or eight hour shifts. If you'd like to come in more days per week, we're happy to have you.

Is this a paid internship?

We offer a $75 stipend to all our interns during each session.

Will I get to run casting sessions?

You'll be in the room for some casting sessions, yes. Running casting sessions isn't a responsiblity that we'd place on interns, don't worry.

Am I just getting people coffee or...what?

The reason we say you're part of the team is because you're going to be doing a lot of different things. Sometimes you'll be in the session room, sometimes we'll be creating cast packets for clients, sometimes you're uploading taped auditions. It all depends on the day. Also, Sarah is too big a coffee snob to ask anyone to get her coffee...
